They say it is what made them famous. Without a doubt, it is Catfish Country. The breading is light and perfectly seasoned. The white fish is super flaky and perfectly cooked. There is no fishy taste here. This is Catfish Perfection. This is Catfish Country.
You can choose from a dinner with 3 or 4 decent size pieces of catfish, or you can go for all you can eat. Your meal comes with a side, and each table gets biscuits and Cole Slaw as a starter. You will want to take the cinnamon butter that comes with the biscuits home with you.
Now, to be fair, catfish is not the only delicious thing on the Catfish Country menu. They offer a variety of salads. The Red Salmon Caesar Salad was special. And they do not skimp on the salmon, either. Also, there is also a wide array of Florida favorites on the menu. There are not too many places where you can get an Alligator Dinner, but you can at Catfish Country! Or how about a serving of good-ole down home Frog Legs? Catfish Country has them as well.
On the other hand, if something more traditional is your thing, steak, chicken, pasta, and burgers are also available. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service is Florida Friendly. Catfish Country is the place to go! Regardless of the size of your appetite, there is something for you!
Located in Polk County off U.S. Hwy 98 between Lakeland and Bartow, look for the big red sign with the classic seafood venue façade. You may have to blink twice, but then you just have to stop. You will not regret it. This is Catfish Country!
